We are currently looking for a Nurse Practitioner for our Gastroenterology Department. Ideal candidate will be provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention, caring for patients ranging in age. This position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients and co-workers.
Responsibilities:
• Candidate will be joining a busy, established Gastroenterology team consisting of 1 Physician Assistant and 1 Physician.
• Provides pre-op and post-op patient education.
• Coordinates diagnostic studies, consultations, procedures and communications.
• Manages post-op care of patients including daily rounds, discharge, patient/family education and follow up clinic visits.
• Will support entire Gastroenterology Team.
Qualifications:
• Education: Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Experience working within gastroenterology is preferred.
• Current Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in Hawaii.
• Current certification in CPR or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Must successfully complete Ali`i Health Center credentialing process prior to practice.
