Ali’i Health Center (AHC), a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization, was formed in 2007 and has experienced tremendous growth since its inception. Over the years, we have had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the transformational power of health care and have seen lives changed and Ohana brought closer together by the shared experience of caring for one another. Located in the Keauhou Shopping Center, AHC provides quality primary care and specialty services to our Hawaii Island Ohana.
Mission
Ali‘i Health Center will provide high quality medical care to the West Hawai`i community in collaboration with, and support of, Kona Community Hospital. We will provide a compassionate and caring environment in the spirit of service that reflects our core values of listening, caring and leading.
Vision
We seek to develop our business and clinical practices to maximize efficiency and provide high quality, integrated services to our patients. We will enhance existing services, create new strategic opportunities, and expand within the geographic area, while building value for our patients, community, employees, and providers.

Leroy (Lee) Rise,
Dr Rise obtained his medical degree from the University of Florida in 2004. He then attended The Ohio State University for orthopedic surgery residency followed by orthopedic trauma fellowship training at the University of New Mexico. He is board certified by the ABOS. He specializes in orthopedic trauma and acute care in both children and adults. This includes complex fractures, musculoskeletal injuries, and infections in the arms, legs, and pelvis.

Natasha Kobayashi,
Natasha is a Board-certified Physician Assistant dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to the Kona community, where she was born and raised. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo and completed her Master of Clinical Health Services degree at the University of Washington MEDEX Physician Assistant Program in Kailua Kona. Before becoming a PA, Natasha spent five years working as a medical assistant in general surgery and dermatology, gaining valuable hands-on clinical experience.

Ali‘i Ambulatory Surgery Center
The Ali‘i Ambulatory Surgery Center offers an alternative to overnight hospitalization in a comfortable atmosphere and a convenient location. For appropriate patients and procedures, same-day surgery can be accomplished with minimum interruption of family and business schedules and at a significant cost savings over inpatient care.
