Shellen Hashimoto is a valued member of the board at our health center, bringing her expertise in accounting and extensive experience in the health field. With a degree in Accounting from Hawaii Community College – Hilo, Shellen has developed a strong foundation in financial management and analysis.
Having worked in the health field for 12 years, Shellen possesses a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the industry. Her background allows her to provide valuable insights and contribute to strategic decision-making processes that positively impact the health center’s operations.
Hailing from the ahupua’a of Ka’ū, Shellen has a strong connection to the local community and is passionate about improving the health and well-being of its residents. She believes in the importance of holistic care and strives to ensure that the health center meets the diverse needs of the community.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Shellen finds joy in spending quality time with her family. She cherishes moments of relaxation at the beach, immersing herself in the beauty of nature, and expressing her cultural heritage through the art of hula. Shellen’s thirst for knowledge is evident in her enthusiasm for learning and trying new things.
