Alii Ambulatory Surgery Center is looking for a highly experienced surgery tech for a multispecialty surgery center in beautiful Kailua-Kona Hawaii. Looking for per diem, part-time or full-time candidates. Offering relocation stipend for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
Our surgery techs are expected to assist the physician during procedures, including ortho, GI, GYN, urology and general surgeries.
- Maintain a working knowledge of scopes as well as all medical equipment/ instruments maintenance and care.
- Assist in the performance of dilations, polypectomy, and biopsy.
- Prepare OR, anticipate and check all instrument and equipment needs prior to procedure.
- Carry out medical and procedural aseptic techniques and universal precautions.
- Maintain a safe environment for patients, coworkers and self.
Qualifications:
- Graduate for an accredited Surgical Technical School
- 1-3 years of experience, preferably in a peri-operative setting or in an Operation Room.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification desirable but comparable experience considered for the right candidate.
- In-depth knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail, self-motivation, and ability to work autonomously.
