How it works
CoolTone® is an FDA-cleared, noninvasive treatment that uses magnetic muscle stimulation to tone, firm, and strengthen muscles.
Is CoolTone® right for me?
CoolTone® uses Active Magnetic Pulse™ (AMP™) technology. Magnetic muscle stimulation is designed to induce powerful muscle contractions that the body could not otherwise do on its own.
- For most patients, 4 to 8 treatments are recommended over the course of 2 to 4 weeks to reach their body contouring goals
- Maintenance treatments are recommended. Talk to your provider to learn more
- Follow your usual diet and exercise routine to maintain treatment results
CoolTone® causes involuntary contractions which strengthen the muscle fibers in the treated area, leading to a stronger, firmer, and more toned appearance. Treatment areas include the abdomen, glutes, and thighs.

Start treatment
- Your provider will take clinical photographs to help you track your before, during, and after progress.
- Next, your provider will place the applicators on the body part you are treating.
- The applicators use magnetic muscle stimulation to cause involuntary contractions in the treated area.
- CoolTone® intensity levels range from 1-100%, depending on patient’s tolerance.
- During treatment, you will feel a series of involuntary (deep) muscle contractions over the targeted area that will last for a few seconds followed by a period of rest
- A treatment typically takes 30 minutes.
Return to your day
- Patients may experience muscle pain several hours after a treatment.
- You can continue to maintain your usual diet and exercise routine.
- Over the following weeks, you’ll notice that treated areas will be more toned, firmer, and you will feel stronger.
- Muscles may atrophy or lose some of their strength and tone over time if they are not maintained through your usual exercise routine. You may return in a few months if your provider recommends maintenance treatments.
